What acrylic render is
An acrylic render is a polymer-based finish that flexes with the building. Unlike traditional sand-and-cement render it doesn't crack as the home moves, and it comes pre-tinted so the colour is locked in for life — no painting needed.
Where it shines
Acrylic is the right call on blueboard, polystyrene cladding, foam fences, lightweight extensions and any wall that's prone to movement. On the Gold Coast where salt air punishes traditional paint, the colour-locked finish is a long-term win.
Brands we use
Render Systems Australia (RSA) for their full acrylic system — primer, base, mesh and roll-on coloured finish — and Rockcote for textured acrylic finishes when a coarser look is wanted. Both are Australian-made and proven on Queensland walls.
