Texture options
Fine sand (the classic Queenslander look), coarse sand for a more rustic finish, broomed for a Spanish/Mediterranean feel, sponged for a soft texture, smooth steel-trowelled for a contemporary clean look, and bagged where you want the brick to read through.
Matching existing texture
On a patch repair this is everything. After 30+ years on the tools Jamie can match by hand — the trick is the right grit of sand in the mix, the right pressure on the float, and the right timing as the render sets.
Heritage and period homes
Inter-war and post-war Gold Coast homes often have a coarser sand finish or a wash finish that's hard to come by today. We'll match it on a sample board before we touch the wall.
